Moving

Well first day in the hotel. The packing is done only the loading and the cleaning to go. Yesterday was sooo hot the packers were melting from the heat (and complaining) today the were melting from the rain (and complaining again)...we have too much stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just realized I'm lucky I have no followers...... It has been forever since I blogged! Wow again I am so embarrassed. I move a week from today (to Vancouver) , got married 4 weeks ago (in Paradise) and have pretty much done no crafting except fr "Flat Tristan". Here is me in my dress with my son. I can add more pics if requested????

OMG

Here's a layout I did of my sweetie. I was from his graduation from Military College. I did this a few weeks ago and just this morning realized it's been weeks since I put anything up here. I used my gypsy and cricut to cut the Flourish and letters. Should keep track of my paper and which cartridges I use I guess!! Going scrapping for the weekend- should put some paper and pictures together....

This is one of the layouts I did on Saturday at my scrap booking day. I finished it off at home as I didn't bring my cricut and wanted to cut out the "got fish" that is down the side. These pictures are from my trip to Pitt Meadows in Sept. for my daughters graduation from Vancouver Art Institute. They were taken at the market in Granville Island.
Look what came today!!! I am linking them to my gypsy as I am typing this. Preserves wont link tho-- I'll have to look into this :-(

This is the artist's rendition of our great room in the new house. Sadly it may be December before the house is ready but at least we will be able to live with Fred and Lee next-door when we move in July.
This is a collage done by my daughter that I just got dry-mounted. It turned out quite nice!!

My friend Cath turned 60!!! She woke up to 60 pairs of undies strung up on her lawn. Gale gathered and hung them! The three of us are going scrapping on Saturday-- I best gather up some stuff!
Someone was offering a cut file for a mat! I was so excited!! Downloaded it to my computer, uploaded it to my gypsy, it rendered (think that's the word), then I hit cut!! I don't own all the cartridges... what was I to do ?? Wanted to make this for my friend Cath's birthday.. So I did my own- yay me!! It looks nice (I think) tho I learned not to cut this on thin paper.

Well my house is finally on the market so now I have time to craft!! Though my yard needs sprucing up and I have a stack of wood to take to the dump. Hubby is in Vancouver seeing to our new home. So far there is a pile of dirt and a contractor! Wonder if it will be done by the end of July??
This is a card I made yesterday for my hairdresser. Her birthday is today on April Fool's day and she is cutting my hair as well. Neither is a joke I hope.

Finally I finished Kaeley's wordbook. Went to a friends to scrap on Saturday and managed to finish this and a couple other projects as well as a couple cards! Thanks Karen and Gale!!

Floors

The floor is finally installed in my bedroom!! Yay! Having an empty plywood floored room for almost a week sucked!Hopefully the other upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are done by Wednesday. Then we can move on to the basement hall and last bedroom down there. Having to put your bedroom and craft-room stuff into the living room is not fun.

I started a word book for my daughter. The Gypsy makes it so easy especially now that you can layer all your pages and cut them. For some reason it wouldn't cut anything but layer one before which was a pain. The book will have to go on hold for a few days as I have a bunch of carpeting to rip out so we can get new floors in our 3 upstairs bedrooms. I have decided I should have hired someone to do the ripping out but too late now. It is gross and disgusting hard work.

Here are a couple cards that I made on my Cricut with my Gypsy. I tried to add stitches at the top on my sewing machine but I suck at zigzag stitch on paper. Covered the whole mess with a piece of ribbon. I pop-dotted the butterflies and used plastic photo corners at the bottom.
Tomorrow is my Birthday and my hubby ordered the 4 newest cartridges for me- Once Upon a Princess, Preserves, Give a Hoot and Just Because Cards. What an enabler!! I love the man!!

So it's been a week since I posted anything-- been busy working, renovating and we've had some family problems. Not sickness or anything , just attitude and actions. Enough to suck the life out of you and make the weekend "suck". Valentines Day started out nice but rapidly went downhill. On a lighter note I went to a Pampered Chef party last night! Love their products! And here is a drawing of our house we are building in Beautiful British Columbia. This is the view from the road.

I am helping out with a retirement "thing " for my hubby. They are looking for baby pictures. I asked my daughter (she lives with his parents) but so far no baby shots -- tho check out those shorts!!! Tom is on the right!! Next to him is his sister Jean, mom Leona and brother Paul!!

Xmas Tie
This is the tie I decorated for Tom's work Xmas party. Santa's sleigh being pulled by an Aircraft! Even had working lights !! Can you believe it was not a winner??

Yes I actually craft!!!

This is evidence that I actually do craft. These are a few of the Valentines I made so far. The 2 on the left are for gift cards ( for my kids ) and the 2 on the right I sent to my son for him to give to "friends"!!! Bottom right is also for my Hubby- tho I wish I could remember the right acronym for him- saw it the other day-scrapbook enabling something??? Hopefully I find it again as he is enabling (no complaints from me)!!! It was -21 celcius when I went to work this morning. I made the mistake of lowering my window to show my pass to get to my work--the window was seized and I drove the 3 km to work plus spent 10 min after nudging my window up a tiny bit at a time. I hope to never have that problem again but if I do----- hopefully I remember today!

Here are 7 mourning doves out on the rail of our back deck. It was -28 with the wind (Celsius ) so they were all fluffed up to keep warm. I made my kids valentines today. I got a gift card for Superstore to put in Kaeley's (poor graduate) and I'll put cash in Tristan's (poor student)- Tom's will be as is!! I'll add photo's tomorrow.

Okay I was only joking-- that wasn't my scrap room-- I wish!!! I won this beautiful miniature last year at PAT (Paper Arts a Thon) run by Myleta Ross and a wonderful bunch of Get-er-dones! I was thrilled to have won this--the light even comes on!! My room is no-where near as tidy and I am getting a new floor so it will be in total disarray soon. Work tomorrow then paint prep so again no crafting--soon I hope???

This is a picture of my scrapbooking room. Notice how neat and tidy it is. Doesn't look like a lot of work gets done. For me this week none did-- still working on flooring. Weekends are usually laundry and grocery shopping. Last nite we went to a "wine and cheese"--yummy!!!

These are my new cartridges and the new skin for my Gypsy. Got the cartridges linked but that was all. Had to rip out more carpet and then Snow-blow the driveway. We got at least 10 cm of snow- school was canceled and so was work in the afternoon but of course its a day off for me. Hubby should be home early!!

Okay-- Yay figured it out !! here is why I did no crafts today -- I was laying flooring! Even tho I got the bunny from SU and their new Valentine Paper (sparkly) I was forced to do manual labour!!!
This stuff all needs to be done so we can sell our house and make the big move to BC!!!! It looks like a bowling alley but really it's not!! When it's totally done I will post more photos!

Blog Experiment

Don't know if I'll make an effort to work on this but I will try. I am supposed to be laying flooring but am in need of a break. Figure everyone has a blog so maybe I should too if for no other reason than to keep a list of all the blogs I love to follow!! Okay I would love to post a pic of the flooring I have laid but cant??? I am at a stand still as I want Tom to cut the piece to under and along the door.
